DIY 5 minutes princess carnival outfit

Last year C was more or less 1 year old when it was carnival season. As she was so small I only did a quick do it yourself mouse outfit which was sewing ears and tail to be attached to a grey dress we already had. This year she is old enough to get the fun of dressing up and still I don´t want to spend too much money on an outfit that she wears once for 2-3 hours.

When I went through my daughter´s cupboard I found this stunning pink dress with lace and tulle that we got last year from my sister in law and fits still perfectly. This dress simply screams PRINCESS to you – so I only needed a crown for C. Here I have a 5 minutes tutorial for a princess crown.

What you need

  • golden fake leather
  • 1 shark hair clip
  • glue
  • scissors
  • pen and piece of paper (optional)

First I sketched a little crown mirrored (see on the photos above) on the piece of paper so that it fits the width of the hair clip. Then put the same sketch on the fake leather and cut it out. Now put some handicraft glue on the backside of the crown and put the 2 crowns on top of each other with the clip in between and let it dry. Et voila:

I love those quick diy tutorials as they are done in no time and are not expensive at all. Let me know your quick and easy carnival outfits of your kids…
